Bio
In 15 years of professional playing and coaching experience, Hector has demonstrated a deep understanding of game fundamentals and strategy. As part of the 2023 World Series Champion Organization the Texas Rangers, he brings a winning mentality and a track record of success. His time as a Milb Pitching Coach at the Texas Rangers Baseball Club further honed his kills in guiding athletes to set and achieve personal and professional goals. Currently, Hector is a pitching coach within the Cincinnati Reds organization.
“I am honored to have been originally Drafted by the Texas Rangers, and the 21st Venezuelan-born baseball player drafted ever. For whom I contributed in various capacities. My experience includes working with internal tools, resources, and analytics to assess and adjust player plans, creating effective training environments, and collaborating with all departments to set and achieve organizational expectations and goals.
Beyond my coaching expertise, I possess bilingual and complex problem-solving skills, expertise with different technology devices such as Driveline training in Rapsodo, Trackman. Spent the summer of 2019 at Driveline where I learned driveline philosophies of pitching development as well as skills such as Command Training, Pitch Design, Throwing Programing and their innovative approach to pitching development.”
Hector is affiliated with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the Association of Professional Ball Players of America (APBPA). Holding certifications as a Licensed Health, Life, and Annuities Producer reflects his commitment to professionalism both on and off the field.
