Bio
Dauson Tate grew up playing high school and travel baseball in Pueblo West, Colorado. Earning multiple awards including the CHSAA First Team All State and PBR CO 4A All State Team. With a lifelong passion for the game, Dauson has built a well-rounded career both behind the plate and in the dugout. As a catcher, he competed at the high school and collegiate level for Pueblo West High School, Dodge City Community College, Longwood University, and Friends University, earning respect for his leadership, work ethic, and game-calling skills.
After a successful playing career, Dauson transitioned into coaching, starting with a high school summer JV team in Colorado, where he developed young talent and fostered a strong team culture. In 2020, Dauson relocated to Alexandria Virginia. He continued his coaching career with the Washington Nationals Youth Camps. Currently, Dauson serves as a varsity coach at Alexandria City High School, continuing to share his knowledge and passion for the sport with the next generation of players.
